crossing the Colorado Rockies on his way

“John LaPado passed-on yesterday, Dec. 26th, after spending much of Christmas day with his wife Christine and 5 year old daughter Lydia.  His brother and sister were also there to be with him.  He had been fighting cancer for several years and had literally hundreds of friends in the Chico area that loved him and spent much time with him over the past months.  He was an inspirational person in his attitude about life and will be sorely missed in this community as well as our class gatherings.  He brought a lot of joy to us all through his music and his friendship. He will really be missed"

"They say ev'ry man needs protection,
They say ev'ry man must fall.
Yet I swear I see my reflection
Some place so high above this wall.
I see my light come shining
From the west unto the east.
Any day now, any day now,
I shall be released." ~ Bob Dylan
